Govt committed to development of remote areas: Minister
Jammu, Feb 23 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Agriculture Abdul Aziz Zargar has said development alongside peace is of vital significance for sustenance of society.
He said friendly relations between the two neighbouring countries were in the interest of the people of the Sub-Continent, especially Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a public meeting in the border district of Poonch today, the minister said the state government would ensure equitable development of all the regions of the state, especially remote and hitherto neglected areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Qazi Mohammad Afzal lauded the Centre for providing liberal assistance to the state for speedy development.
The minister also sought compensation for the losses meted out to the state due to the Indus Water Treaty and urged for recruitment of the local youth in paramilitary forces.
