GOC 101 area felicitates ARC Hockey team

Shillong, Feb 22 (UNI) Maj Gen A K Nanda, GOC 101 Area felicitated the Assam Regimental Hockey Team here today for winning the Eastern Command Hockey Championship 2006.

The GOC complimented the Assam Regimental Centre team for their excellent and consistent performance.

He also appreciated the team Captain, Sub LT Sanga for training the team to the level and lauded Lnk Lalthuzaula, in particular who was the highest scorer of the tournament.

In the thrilling finals held in Kolkata recently the defending champion Assam Regimental team defeated 5 Mountain Division by two goals to nil.

The team also won all the matches during the tournament.
