GAIL, Sonattrach to discuss LNG supply from Skikda

Mumbai, Feb 24 (UNI) Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL) chairman and managing director Proshanto Banerjee will shortly visit Algeria to hold talks with Sonatrach Petroleum Corporation on number of issues including supply of LNG from Skikda Project there.

Mr Banerjee was extended an invitiation at a high-level meeting on the sidelines of Asia Gas Partnership Summit 2006 to visit the headquarters of Sonatrach Petroleum Corporation, Algeria, to discuss cooperation in a number of areas, said a GAIL press release here today.

The most important item on the agenda would be supply of LNG to India from the Skikda Project in Algeria from 2008-09, the release added.
