Lahore, Feb 22 (UNI) The future India-Pakistan series will be on the pattern of the Ashes.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and its Indian counterpart BCCI have reportedly agreed to play each other every two years like Australia and England do in the Ashes series.

Quoting PCB chief Shaharyar Khan media reports here said Pakistan was likely to play three Tests and seven one-day internationals on their next tour to India either in 2008 or 2009.

''Pakistan will tour India in either 2008 or 2009 to play three Tests and seven one-day internationals,'' Khan was quoted as saying.

''The exact dates of the tour have yet to be finalised but both countries have agreed to play each other every two years like Australia and England do in the Ashes series.'' He added that after the 2008-09 series both countries would play a five-Test series on the pattern of the Ashes.
