FIR registered against army, agitation ended in north Kashmir
Srinagar, Feb 23 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police has registered a FIR in the Dodipora Handwara incident in which army allegedly shot dead four youths yesterday.
Official sources said this information was given to a deputation of people during their meeting with Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Bashrat Ahmad Dar and Inspector General of Police K Rajinder Kumar at Handwara today.
Mr Dar and Mr Kumar assured the agitators that action would be taken against guilty army officials under law of the land.
Later, the day-long agitation was suspended and the bodies were laid to rest.
