EC team visit postponed

Visakhapatnam, Feb 23 (UNI) The two-member Election Commission (EC) team, which was supposed to come to the city today to investigate complaints about violation of model code of conduct in the byelection to the Visakhapatnam-I Assembly constituency postponed the visit by a day due to non-availability of connecting flight from Hyderabad.

Returning Officer Kameshwar Rao told presspersons here today Commission Adviser S K Mendiratta and Secretary Tapas Kumar arrived at Hyderabad this afternoon but could not reach the city due to cancellation of connecting flight from the capital city.

The team will now hold sittings at 0900 hrs tomorrow to hear the claims of contesting candidates, recognised political parties, individuals and organisations.
