Dhoni to get plot for 'dream house' tomorrow
Ranchi, Feb 22 (UNI) Team India's swashbuckling wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be felicitated by Jharkhand government here tomorrow when Chief Minister Arjun Munda hands him ownership documents of a land plot for his 'dream house' in a prime locality here.
Housing department Secretary D K Tiwary told UNI here today that the state government felt honoured by Dhoni's performance, who recently rose to number three position in the ICC rankings by his fiery performance against arch rival Pakistan.
''We have decided to give a 5,000 sq ft plot in Harmu Housing Colony to him for his dream house project. The Chief Minister will hand over the documents at a function at the Morabadi ground here,'' Mr Tiwary said.
Dhoni's father Pan Singh is an employee of Mecon Limited here.
His family had been residing here for the last four decades and had expressed the need of a bigger house in the wake of increasing popularity of their son.
Dhoni had also said he wished to make a 'big dream house' here. He was born and brought up here.
