Deputy Mayor of Kabul visits HUDA

Hyderabad, Feb 22 (UNI)The Deputy Mayor of Kabul Municipality, Mr Fakir Behiram, along with a 15-member delegation, visited Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) projects at Safilguda Lake Development and Urban Greening Projects at Medchal road today.

Mr Fakir Behiram appreciated the efforts of HUDA in planning and development of the Hyderabad city and he also saidsome of the projects of HUDA might be replicated in Kabul and other cities of Afghanistan.

The visit was organised by the International City&Country, South Asia Management Association, Ahmedabad and a World Bank consultant, a HUDA release said. Mr Fazal Qayumi, Chief of ICMA USAID, Afghanistan was also part of the 15 member delegation.

They were received by the Chairman of HUDA Mr Sudheer Reddy, and the Vice-Chairman Mr JayeshRanjam. A presentation was also made on HUDA's achievements and activities including the outer ring road project, master plan, Buddha Poornima project, and HMDA.
