Demolition work begins on MG 13, biggest mall on MG road

New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) Demolition action on the MG 13, the biggest mall in the Lal Dora area which houses shops by leading fashion designers of the country, continued today.

Demolition work on the mall had begun yesterday morning amid tight security.

MCDs source say the demolition work on MG 13 could be followed by similar action on almost a dozen malls and complexes that have illegally come up on MG Road over the year.

Overall, the MCD today carried out demolition action on 17 unauthorised properties, including 14 residential and 3 commercial constructions.

With this, the MCD has, since December 19 last year, carried out demolition action on 1399 properties, which include 622 residential and 777 commercial constructions.
