Crude oil production falls to 2.775 mt from 2.913 mt
New Delhi, Feb 24 (UNI) Crude Oil production in January, 2006 fell to 2.775 million tonnes as against 2.913 million tonnes a year ago as offshore production continued to lower after the major platform fire in July, 2005.
Cumulative production of crude oil duirng the first ten months of current financial year was lower by 5.8 per cent at 26.813 million tonnes.
Refinery production in terms of crude throughput in January however, was higher at 11.650 million tonnes as against 11.070 million tonnes.
Natural Gas production was almost static at 2,779 million cubic meters as against 2,778 MCM in January, 2006, a statement of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry said.
