Congress workers stage anti-Modi protests

Gandhinagar, Feb 23 (UNI) Congress workers and MLAs, led by Leader of Opposition Arjun Modhvadia, staged a demonstration here this morning to protest the total failure of the BJP Government in the state and claims by Narendra Modi to be the cpimtry's best Chief Minister.

The Congressmen, many of them half-naked with anti-Modi slogans inscribed on their innerwears, participated in the rally raising slogans like 'No progress in BJP regime, yet Modi No 1 CM', 'Gujarat's public debt rose to Rs 81,400 crore, yet Modi No 1' and made mockery of other claims by Chief Minister.

They also distributed pamphlets.

When the protesters reached to the main gate of the Vidhansabha Bhavan, they were halted by the police. Some of the workers were detained and later released by the police.
