Congress leaders demand BJP legislator's expulsion
Jaipur, Feb 23 (UNI) Rajasthan Congress Women wing's chief Mamta Sharma today demanded the expulsion of BJP legislator Bhanwar Lal Rajpurohit, who is accused of raping one Mamta Rajpurohit in Gotan in Nagaur district in 2002.
Speaking at a press meet here, Ms Sharma along with former Congress minister Hirendra Mirdha, vociferously demanded Rajpurohit's expulsion from the Vidhan Sabha.
Both the leaders alleged that ''22 cases are already pending against him but each time he used his influential contacts to escape unscathed.'' Rajpurohit, who represents Makrana constituency in Nagaur district, is alleged to have raped Mamta Rajpurohit who had filed a police complaint on April 29 in the same year.
