Congress adopts aggressive postures during budget session in Gujarat
Gandhinagar, Feb 22 (UNI) Congress Legislature Party (CLP) at its meeting here today decided to adopt an aggressive posture to take on the treasury benches in the State Assembly during the budget session beginning tomorrow.
The meeting chaired by Leader of the Opposition Arjun Modhvadia, decided to expose the BJP-ruled government's failures on different fronts, notably the work stoppage at the gigantic Sardar Sarovar Project (SSP), raising the state's internal debt to Rs 82,000-crore, the highest in the country.
Mr Modhvadia criticised the government spending huge amounts on publicity and extravagenza like Navratri and Kite Festival at the cost of public, increasing primary school fees and textbooks prices.
The prices of onion and groundnut have touched rock bottom as the state frequently faces power shortages.
