Cong demands apology from Yediyurappa
Bangalore, Feb 22 (UNI) The Congress in Karnataka today demanded an apology from Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader B S Yediyurappa for making a statement about ''the existence of payment quota'' in the Congress for allocating portfolios.
Talking to newspersons here, Congress Spokesman V S Ugrappa strongly condemned the statement and warned Mr Yediyurappa to desist from making such statements in future. It was clear from the remarks of senior BJP leader 'Mukhya Mantri' Chandru that such a quota existed in the BJP, he claimed.
The Congress would launch an agitation against Mr Yediyurappa if he failed to tender an apology, he said.
