Mumbai, Feb 23 (UNI) Mumbai Police Commissioner A N Roy today gave sanction to book gutka barons Rasiklal Manikchand Dhariwal and Jagdish Joshi under the stringent MCOCA Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOPCA) for their alleged involvement in helping underworld don Dawood Ibrahim set up gutka pouch manufacturing plant in Pakistan, police sources said.

As per the directive of MCOCA court Judge Ashok Bhangale, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had investigated the case and submitted its interim report on their involvement to the court, seeking sanction from the police commissioner to book them under MCOCA.

The interim report filed on February six has referred to the names of involvement of gutka barons Rasiklal Dhariwal and Jagdish Joshi.

The CBI has initially filed a chargesheet against four accomplices of Dawood Ibrahim for allegedly exporting gutka pouch manufacturing machines to Pakistan to produce and sell tobacco products in the neighbouring country.

Those already chargesheeted are Anees Ibrahim, Jamruddin alias Jumbo, Rajesh Pancharia and Farooq Mansoori who had allegedly supplied the machinery to Pakistan.

Mustafa Kabira, the complainant, had said the four accused had helped Dawood to procure the machines from India.
