Chin diaspora observes national day

Aizawl, Feb 22 (UNI) The Chin population of Mizoram observed the 58th Chin National Day along with the millions of Chins across the globe, Artists entertained the audience to mark the day in a grand manner in the capital city yesterday.

Two traditional dress parades by young women were also organised on the occasion.

The Chin National Day coincides with Mizoram's statehood day.

The day was first celebrated in 1948 to mark the end of feudal system in the Chin state of Burma (now Myanmar).
