Chilean Senate VP and Ambassador call on Bhattacharjee
Kolkata, Feb 24 (UNI) Chilean Senate Vice-President Jaime Gazmuri Mujica and Ambassador to India Jorge Heine called on West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee at the Writers' Buildings today to discuss mutual cooperation in business and industry.
Describing it as a courtesy visit, Mr Mujica said they had discussed the possibilities of collabration in biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
" Both of us are keen to explore areas of collabroation and we will carry forward talks," he told reporters.
The Chilean Senate Vice-President said a business delegation from West Bengal would visit Chile, the date for which was yet to be decided.
Both Mr Mujica and Mr Heine invited the Chief Minister, an ardent admirer of Latin American literature, for a visit to Chile.
