Canada to make investestments in infrastructure projects: Tope
Mumbai, Feb 23 (UNI) Maharashtra Minister of State for Urban Development Rajesh Tope today welcomed Canada's willingness to make direct investments in the infrastructure projects in the state.
A Canadian delegation, led by Economic Development and Tade Minister of Ontario Joseph Cardiano, today called on Mr Tope in Mantralaya.
Last November, Maharashtra Minister of State for Finance Sunil Deshmukh, Minister of State for Revenue Rajendra Shingane and Mr Tope himself had toured Canada and had appealed the investors there to invest in Maharashtra.
Mr Cardino said, ''The Canada Government was ready to invest in infrastructure development as well as in other fields.'' The purpose of his visit was to survey the areas in which the investment could be made.
