Call for changing curriculum of hospitality course

Manipal, Karnataka, Feb 24 (UNI) Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) deemed university Vice-Chancellor Prof H S Ballal today stressed the need for changing the curriculum of the hospitality course to suit the needs of the industry in the globalised era.

Inaugurating a two-day national hospitality symposium on 'Hospitality Vision-2006', organised by the Welcome Group Graduate School of Hotel Administration here, he said there was a need for constant industry-institution interaction to prepare the curriculum.

Welcoming the gathering, School Chief Administrator Maj Gen B N Kaul called upon the hospitality management institutes to make a paradigm shift in their curriculum and incorporate latest trends in operations, equipment and procedures.
