Big B returns to work, but arclights will have to wait

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) With superstar Bachchan returning to work after more than two months, the film industry as well as his fans heaved a sigh of relief as he recorded a song for Ravi Chopra's 'Babul', movie he also stars in.

However, trade sources say it will be a while before the actor returns to the arclights.

Bachchan recorded a song for 'Babul'on Sunday at music director Aadesh Srivastava's AV Sound, The song, rendered by the Big B in his trademark 'baritone' voice, was the actor's first assignment after he was operated upon for intestinal problems and advised rest by doctors.

The recording, which began at 2330 hrs on Saturday night, was over by 0200 hrs on Sunday.

Later, Big B recorded another song for the same movie at on Monday night.

On Tuesday, Amitabh did some dubbing for Vidhi Vinod Chopra's 'Eklavya - The Royal Guard'.

Trade sources said Bachchan may record another song, with son Abhishek, for a private album composed by music directors Vishal-Shekhar and produced by family friend Rohan Sippy.

He may be back to the recording and dubbing studios but sources say it may be while before the superstar is able to face the arclights again.

Even though Big B has fully recuperated from his illness, it would take about a month before the actor regains his old energy level, they added.
