Amar Singh CD: Petition filed in SC seeking judicial inquiry

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh today filed yet another petition in the Supreme Court this time seeking a judicial inquiry to identify those responsible for circulating a CD showing his conversation with film stars and industrialists.

Mr Singh in his petition has contended that circulation of such CD was not only an assault and encroachment on his privacy but was also against the norms of civilised behaviour.

P H Pareekh, counsel for Singh, however refused to part with the copy of the petition and the counsel has also sent a press note requesting mediapersons to inform him if they come across such a CD.

A writ petition filed by Amar Singh seeking a judicial inquiry into his phone tapping is already pending in the apex court.

Singh has already expressed his lack of faith in police investigation in phone tapping case especially in the probe carried out by Delhi Police. Investigation has already been completed by Delhi police who have filed a charge-sheet in the court.
