Alert sounded at Anand rly station following bomb scare
Anand, Feb 23 (UNI) A security alert was sounded today at the Anand railway station after a letter was received at the station master's office here, claiming that a bomb had been planted in the premises.
However, the threat turned out to be a hoax.
Deputy Station Master A Dani alerted the police after recieving the letter.
The teams of Railway Protection Force and local police, and bomb disposal squad rushed to the station and carried out thorough searches.
Similar searches were also conducted at the Vidyanagar station as the letter mentioned that there would be a blast there, too. It also turned out to be a hoax, police said.
The letter signed by one Yohan Malik, had been sent by post, police added.
