Ahamed meets Iranian prez

Dubai, Feb 21 (UNI) Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed, who is currently visiting Tehran, met Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today and exchanged views on bilateral ties.

Earlier in the day, addressing the sixth ministerial conference of the Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation (IOR-ARC) in the Iranian capital, Mr Ahamed announced India's contribution of 50,000 dollar to the Special Fund for 2006 for IOR-ARC and proposed cooperation between the IOR-ARC countries in various fields including disaster management, tourism and trade and industrial development.
