Advance team taking stock of security

Hyderabad, Feb 24 (UNI) The city is gearing up for the proposed March 3 visit of US President George W Bush with top police officials assisting the advance security team of the President to assess the situation at the venues he is likely to visit.

Andhra Pradesh Director-General of Police Swaranjit Sen and Hyderabad Police Commissioner A K Mohanty yesterday accompanied a team of US officials to an NGO, Freedom Foundation at Bollaram near here and a women's college.

Ms Laura Bush is expected to visit the Freedom Foundation to interact with AIDS patients and with the students and the staff in the women's college.

The advance team has already visited the Indian School of Business, Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) and the Emergency Management Research Institute (EMRI) to take stock of the security arrangements.
