23000 pirated books seized, four arrested

New Delhi, Feb 23 (UNI) In a biggest ever haul of pirated books, the Delhi police have seized 23,000 pirated books from several areas of Delhi and have arrested four people in this connection.

Among the seized material were fake books of international publishers including many best sellers like 'The Summons' by John Gresham, 'Da Vinci Code' by Dan Brown, 'The Other side of Midnight' and 'If Tomorrow Comes' by Sydney Sheldon and 'You Can Win' by Shiv Khera.

Those arrested include the main stockist and supplier of the books, Subodh Singh who was nabbed from Mandawli area. Based on information provided by him, raids were conducted at several areas from where huge stock of pirated books was recovered. Three others were also arrested in this connection.
