2 found dead after consuming of illicit liquor, chicken

Davangere, Karnataka, Feb 23 (UNI) Two persons were found dead and two in an unconscious state at Vasna village in this district of Karnataka today.

Police said the cause for the death was not known immediately as the victims had consumed both illicit liquor and chicken before their deaths.

Though consumption of illicit liquor was suspected to be the reason behind the tragedy, the possibility of bird flu could not be ruled out in the wake of the dreaded virus attacking neighbouring Maharashtra.

Police identified the deceased as Noor Ahmed (35) and Roshan 45.

The two others, who were found in an unconscious state, were admitted to the district hospital, where their condition was stated to be out of danger.
