18th annual scientific conference of IMA on Feb 26

Mumbai, Feb 23 (UNI) More than a thousand doctors are expected to attend the one-day 18th annual scientific conference of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Mumbai West on February 26 here.

The event will be inaugurated by Maharashtra Minister of State for Medical, Higher and Technical Education Suresh Shetty.

An IMA press release said the medical experts will speak on latest trends in medical science for rendering effective service to humanity through modern medicines.

The topics on which papers would be presented on the occasion include: role of primary angioplasty, new technology in joint replacement surgery, laproscopic surgery in obesity, emerging trends in refractive surgery and diabetes management.

Dr B M Hegde, who is the recipient of Dr S C Sheth Memorial oration award, will present paper on 'What you ought to know but were never taught in medicine school'.' UNI SN PDS VP0422
