Ukraine has claimed a major deep-strike operation against Russia’s Taganrog military airfield in the Rostov region, located hundreds of kilometers from the front lines. According to Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, long-range FP-1 and FP-2 drones struck the base, reportedly destroying two Tu-142 long-range patrol aircraft and an Iskander ballistic missile launcher. Ukrainian sources also released videos showing large fires and multiple secondary explosions across the airfield, suggesting damage to fuel, ammunition, or military equipment.
