Iran has released footage claiming to show the shootdown of a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone over southe Iran, in the latest escalation between Tehran and Washington. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its air defense systems intercepted the American drone after it entered Iranian airspace. The MQ-9 Reaper, a high-value U.S. unmanned aerial vehicle used for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, has become a major focus amid rising military tensions in the region.
