Iran Fires Two Khorramshahr Missiles, Drones on UAE Over Israel Alliance; Trump Halts Attack on Iran
The United Arab Emirates is facing a dangerous new security crisis after a dramatic escalation involving ballistic missiles and attack drones allegedly launched by Iran. Emirati defense officials say air defense systems, including Patriot batteries and THAAD interceptors, were activated as sirens echoed across Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Most incoming threats were intercepted, but debris and possible impact zones reportedly injured civilians and forced temporary flight suspensions. The latest attack comes days after another major interception operation on May 4, when the UAE claimed it stopped multiple ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones targeting key infrastructure. One drone reportedly struck the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone, triggering a massive fire and injuring three Indian nationals. Iranian officials have now reportedly labeled the UAE an “enemy state,” raising fears that the fragile Middle East ceasefire could collapse entirely as regional tensions spiral toward a broader confrontation.
