The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the death of Sergeant First Class Lidor Porat, 31, a reservist from Ashdod, who died from wounds sustained during operations in southe Lebanon. Porat served in the 7106th Battalion of the 769th “Hiram” Brigade. The incident occurred near Kfar Kila when an armored D-9 bulldozer struck a concealed explosive device. The blast was sudden and devastating, underscoring the persistent danger along the frontline.
