The United Arab Emirates, long considered one of the most stable and secure locations in the Middle East, has faced new security challenges following the escalation of conflict after February 28. In response to joint U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran, Tehran launched waves of missiles and drones toward multiple regional targets, including the UAE. Emirati air defenses reportedly intercepted the vast majority of incoming projectiles, but some strikes and falling debris still caused damage and fires in several areas, including parts of Dubai. The attacks have shaken perceptions of regional safety and highlighted how expanding conflict can directly impact civilian and economic hubs.
