Nashville police are investigating the fatal shooting of 12-year-old Damarion Morehead after gunfire erupted during a fight involving teenagers in downtown Nashville. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. near Union Terrace, where police say a group of 10 to 15 teens had gathered before violence broke out. Morehead was struck in the head and found in critical condition by responding officers. He was rushed to Vanderbilt Hospital but later died from his injuries. Authorities have detained and questioned two people in connection with the incident, though neither is believed to be the shooter. The investigation remains ongoing.
