Watch: Shocking Footage Of Witchcraft In Football Sparks Viral Debate!
FERWAFA has implemented stringent measures to combat the rising issue of alleged witchcraft in sports, aiming to uphold integrity and fair play in Rwandan athletics.
These initiatives include educational programs for players and officials about the dangers and myths surrounding such practices. The federation emphasizes a commitment to creating a safe and honest sporting environment for all participants.

Watch: Shocking Footage Of Witchcraft In Football
Recently, a video has been circulating on the social media platform, Instagram, in which one can see the witchcraft being captured on the camera. The video is going viral across social media platforms. In that video, a player can be seen sprinting away as his opponents reacted aggressively, earning himself a yellow card.
Surprisingly, just minutes later, he scored an equalizer, leaving fans to speculate whether it was skill or witchcraft at play.
FERWAFA has made it clear that they will no longer tolerate such antics. Under the new regulations reported by the Rwanda New Times, coaches and players face hefty fines and bans if found guilty of using witchcraft. Teams caught engaging in these practices risk a three-point deduction and a fine of 500,000 Rwandan Francs (approximately $600).
FERWAFA Vice President Vedaste Kayiranga stated that since there's no scientific way to prove witchcraft, decisions will rely on match officials' reports, focusing on anything that appears to incite witchcraft. Further investigation revealed that Camara was actually attempting to reverse the effects of witchcraft allegedly performed by the goalkeeper.
Extended footage shows him removing, rather than placing, an object near the goalpost. The goalkeeper also received a yellow card for his involvement, highlighting the chaotic nature of the situation, which even drew in substitutes and fans. This context underscores why FERWAFA felt it necessary to address the issue of witchcraft in sports.
Here are the tough measures imposed by FERWAFA to address witchcraft in local football:
Coaches:
- Four-match ban for coaches found guilty of using witchcraft.
- A fine of Rwf200,000.
Players:
- Three-match suspension for players found guilty of using witchcraft.
- A fine of Rwf100,000.
Teams:
- Three-point deduction for teams engaged in witchcraft.
- A fine of Rwf500,000.
These measures were implemented following a recent incident during a league match that highlighted the issue of witchcraft in the sport.
