Paris Olympics Gold Winner Arshad Nadeem Gets Trolled For Sharing Independence Day Message With Snoring Music

A video featuring Olympic javelin gold medalist Arshad Nadeem went viral on Wednesday. Nadeem posted a video on his Instagram, urging peace and unity on Pakistan's Independence Day. The clip quickly gained attention due to an unusual "background music" - the sound of snoring.

Pakistan celebrates its independence day on August 14 every year. On this occasion, Nadeem shared a message of unity with the Pakistani audience. In the video, he said, "On Pakistan's Independence Day, I appeal to the people of Pakistan to take a pledge that we stay united."

The video with the snoring sound in the background went viral almost instantly. However, Arshad later deleted it and uploaded a new version without any background noise. The fresh video had noticeable differences, including changes in his tone and pauses between sentences.

One social media user commented humorously, "Background score missing, sir. #snore 😂". This indicated that Arshad posted a new video to remove the snoring sound after facing harsh trolling online.

August 8th Victory

On August 8, Nadeem won Pakistan's first Olympic gold in 40 years by securing gold in men's javelin at the Paris Olympics. India's Neeraj Chopra took silver while Grenada's Anderson Peters claimed bronze. Nadeem's impressive throw of 92.97m set a high bar for competitors.

Nadeem managed an astonishing 92.97m in his second attempt to set the bar too high for the rest of the field, including Chopra, who seemed under pressure and managed just one legitimate throw -- the silver-winning 89.45m in the second round.

Recognition and Rewards

Nadeem received a total of 250 million rupees ($897,000) on Tuesday, August 14, as Pakistan continued to celebrate his record-breaking throw at the Paris Games. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced 150 million rupees ($538,000) for Nadeem at a special ceremony to honor the star athlete in Islamabad.

Soon after Punjab's chief minister Mariam Nawaz visited Nadeem's house in Mian Channu district and presented him with a check for 100 million rupees ($359,000). This recognition highlighted his significant achievement for Pakistan.

In both videos shared by Arshad, there were subtle differences beyond just the background noise. He used different pronunciations for "Nezah" and "Nezeh" in each video and varied his speaking style slightly.

Despite these differences, Arshad's core message remained consistent: urging unity among Pakistanis. He encouraged everyone to change their profile pictures on social media to show solidarity with his message of "United we stand."

The viral video's humorous element was captured by Twitter users like Mihir Jha who tweeted: "Ye Desh hi Meme hai 😂Pakistan Gold Medalist 🥇Arshad Nadeem wishes his country on their Independence day; Don't miss the background Music 🤲😭". Another user Gabbar added: "Arshad Nadeem asking Pakistani awaam to rise up while there is guy snoring in the background. Poetic 🤣".

This incident highlights how even serious messages can sometimes take unexpected turns online due to unforeseen elements like background sounds.
