Netizens Call Saina Nehwal "Kangana Ranaut Of Sports" For Her Comment On Neeraj Chopra; She Responds

India badminton seed Saina Nehwal has now hit back at the trolls and people who were criticising her for her loose, but honest comment on India's Javelin throw star Neeraj Chopra. In an interview, Saina Nehwal had said that she didn't even know that any sport like Javelin or the player participating in it named Neeraj Chopra was traveling along, in the Indian contingent before he clinched a Gold at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

When Neeraj won the gold in Tokyo, that's when I got to know there is such an event in athletics," Saina had said.

Her statement was not to hurt anyone and she just said the truth from her perspective. However, her remark was not liked by Neeraj Chopra fans and they started criticising her. A user even tagged her as "Kangana Ranaut Of Sports".

Hitting back at trolls, Saina Nehwal, in a post on X, said "Thanks for the compliment.. Kangana is beautiful...but I had to be perfect in my sport and I proudly achieved world number 1 and an Olympic medal in badminton for my country ...again I will say this ghar pe bait ke comment karna easy hai and sports khelna difficult (sitting at home and commenting is easy but playing sports isn't). Neeraj is our superstar and he made the sport so popular in India."
