The result lifted Inter Kashi to eighth place with eight points from seven matches. Chennaiyin FC stayed 11th with five points from six games. Chennaiyin held more of the ball for long spells. However, Inter Kashi’s back line kept chances limited for most of the contest.

Both teams made four changes to their starting line-ups before kick-off. Chennaiyin FC head coach Clifford Miranda brought in Iñigo Martín, D. Vignesh, Irfan Yadwad and Mohammed Ali Bemammer. The four replaced Elsinho, Mandar Rao Desai, Maheson Singh and Daniel Chima Chukwu.

Inter Kashi head coach Antonio López Habas also altered four positions for the match. Shubham Dhas started in goal instead of Lluis Tarrés Campos. Narender Gahlot came in for Sumeet Passi. Ashish Jha replaced Nauris Petkevičius, while Mohammed Asif started ahead of Tomba Singh.

The opening phase was cautious as both sides read each other’s shape. Chennaiyin FC saw more possession, led by Bemammer and Alberto Noguera in midfield. Inter Kashi stayed compact near the box. Chennaiyin attempted shots from range, but none forced Shubham into a difficult save.

Inter Kashi also had moments going forward in the first half. Rohit Danu attacked down the left and sent two crosses into the area. Chennaiyin’s defenders handled both deliveries. Moya then tried a curling long shot before the drinks break, but the attempt went wide.

The best first-half chance came in added time from a corner to Inter Kashi. Wayne Vaz saw an effort blocked, then had a follow-up saved by Mohammad Nawaz. The ball fell to Danu, who lifted a chip towards goal. Laldinliana cleared it off the line, keeping it 0-0.

Inter Kashi took the lead straight after half-time through Moya. Danu crossed from the left and Sergio Llamas cushioned it on the chest. Bemammer failed to clear the ball. Moya collected the loose touch and guided a calm finish past Nawaz for 1-0.

Eight minutes later, Inter Kashi struck again after confusion in Chennaiyin’s defence. Moya carried the ball into the box as Noguera tracked back. Defenders hesitated, each expecting the other to challenge. With space opening up, Moya poked the ball beyond the goalkeeper for 2-0.

Miranda made substitutions to raise tempo and chase the game. Chennaiyin improved in attack but struggled for clear chances. Faroukh Chaudhary had the best opening after a strong run. The left-footed shot was pushed away by the Inter Kashi goalkeeper, preserving the two-goal lead.

Chennaiyin’s pressure finally brought a goal deep in stoppage time. Yadwad redirected Noguera’s cross into a dangerous zone. Inter Kashi did not clear cleanly as Narender and Nishchal Chandan both went for it. The loose ball looped up, and Chima Chukwu fired in, but it came too late.
