Four Indian Women Wrestlers Reach World Championship Finals

All four Indian women wrestlers, including Aditi Kumari, Neha, and Pulkit, showcased dominant performances at the Under-17 World Championships on Wednesday. They all advanced to the title contention rounds.

Indian Wrestlers in World Finals

Aditi Kumari displayed remarkable skill by defeating Ukraine's Karolina Shperyk 10-0 and Marriem Mohamed Abdelaal 4-2. She continued her winning streak with an 8-2 victory in the semifinals against Aleksandra Berezovskaia, setting up a final match in the 43kg category against Greece's Maria Louiza Gkika.

Neha's Unbeaten Run

In the 57kg category, Neha reached the semifinals without conceding a single point. She pinned Greek opponent Mairi Mani and then achieved technical superiority over Georgia's Miranda Kapanadze. Neha then triumphed over Kazakhstan's Anna Stratan with an 8-4 win to secure her place in the final against Japan's So Tsuitsui.

Pulkit also had an impressive run in the 65kg category. She dominated China's Ling Cai with a win by fall and followed it up with a commanding 9-0 victory against Juliana Catanzaro. Pulkit then blanked Egypt's Maram Ibrahim Aly 3-0 to advance to the gold-medal bout, where she will face Daria Frolova on Thursday.

Mansi Lather's Path to the Final

Mansi Lather made her way to the 73kg final by conceding just two points throughout her matches. She defeated Lotta Englich 11-0, Piper Meredith Fowler 6-0, and Khrystyna Demchuk 12-2 by fall. Mansi will compete against Hanna Pirskaya in the final.

In the Greco-Roman bronze medal play-off, Ronak, ranked second in the world, comfortably defeated Turkey's Emrullah Capkan 6-1 to secure India's first medal from the championship on Tuesday night. Ronak had previously lost to Hungary's Zoltan Czako in the semi-final, who went on to win silver. The gold was claimed by Ukraine's Ivan Yankovskyi, who beat Czako by technical superiority.

Sainath Pardhi added another medal for India by winning his repechage round and defeating Kazakhstan's Mussan Yerassyl in the 51kg bronze play-off.

The Indian wrestlers' performances have been commendable, showcasing their skills and determination at the Under-17 World Championships. Their achievements have brought pride to the nation as they continue to excel on the international stage.
