Arsenal are set to face Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final at Parc des Princes in Paris, France on Wednesday (May 7). Following a fiercely contested first leg in London, both sides are now preparing for an intense showdown in Paris.

Arsenal comes into the fixture trailing 1-0 after a narrow defeat in the opening leg at the Emirates Stadium. Ousmane Dembele's early goal provided the French club with a vital away goal and a lead ahead of the return leg. Despite a determined performance by the Gunners and a disallowed strike from Mikel Merino, they couldn’t equalise and saw their 17-game unbeaten home streak in European tournaments snapped.

PSG vs Arsenal: Key Players Set to Miss the Clash in Paris?

PSG, under the management of Luis Enrique, enters the tie with a largely fit squad. Although Presnel Kimpembe remains out with a foot injury and Lee Kang-in’s involvement is uncertain, the return of Ousmane Dembele is a significant boost. The winger, who experienced a minor hamstring issue during the first match, is reportedly ready. Dembele participated in training sessions in Paris on Monday, and Enrique confirmed the forward is fit to start on Wednesday.

Arsenal, in contrast, is dealing with an extensive injury list. Several important players will miss the encounter. However, following his absence in the weekend defeat to Bournemouth, Jurrien Timber resumed training this week and will be evaluated for possible inclusion. Another defender, Riccardo Calafiori, also rejoined training after being sidelined with a knee issue. Thomas Partey is available again after serving a suspension in the first leg. Martin Odegaard also trained with the team after the Arsenal skipper was seen limping after the Bournemouth match.

Nonetheless, key defenders such as Gabriel Magalhaes, Takehiro Tomiyasu and striker Gabriel Jesus remain out for the rest of the season. Midfielder Jorginho is still unavailable due to a rib injury and continues his recovery. Forward Kai Havertz has yet to return to training and will not be involved in this fixture.

With both teams facing critical absences, the semi-final second leg promises to be a dramatic and high-stakes battle. PSG will look to capitalise on their narrow advantage and home support, while Arsenal must overcome both injuries and the scoreline to reach the final. Fans can expect an electric night of football at Parc des Princes.
