Premier League 2024: Arsenal Coach Mikel Arteta Says Gunners Eyes Trade Possibilities
Arsenal's head coach, Mikel Arteta, mentioned the club's readiness to engage in the January transfer window if opportunities arise. Presently, Arsenal holds the fourth position in the Premier League standings.
Arteta conveyed to Sky Sports that Arsenal remains open to potential moves in the transfer market. He stressed their focus on maximizing the potential of their current squad. Notably, Arsenal has several key players like Oleksander Zinchenko, Jurien Timber, Fabio Viera, Thomas Partey, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Gabriel Jesus sidelined due to injuries.

"Unfortunately, Jurrien has a very long-term injury. He's doing really well but is still far from training with the team. It's what we have, with Tomiyasu having to leave. We're open for the transfer market, but the emphasis is of making the most of the players we have," Arteta said.
"We'll work with the club to understand if there are any possibilities, and whether we have any good options. But first of all, we will focus on the players we already have," Arteta added.
Arsenal is reportedly considering acquiring a new striker during the January transfer window, with players like Brentford's Ivan Toney and Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke being identified as potential targets for the North London club.
In the ongoing Premier League season, Arsenal has secured 12 victories, suffered four defeats, and achieved four draws in 20 matches. Throughout the season, the Gunners have scored 37 goals and conceded 20.
