Crowd Chants 'Messi-Messi' After Al-Hilal Defeats Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr 3-0 In Riyadh Derby

Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al-Nassr faced an embarrassing 3-0 defeat against the arch-rivals Al-Nassr. Not just this, the former Real Madrid great had to walk through the chants of Messi-Messi in the Riyadh derby at the King Fahd International Stadium. This was certainly a hard time for the five-time Ballon D' Or winner as the crowd teased him by taking his greatest rival Lionel Messi's name at the end of the game.

The jeering was nothing but revenge for the Arab Club Champions Cup finals, in which, the Portuguese football star had emerged as a hero for Al-Nassr scoring two goals alone against Al-Hilal.

Still, Ronaldo kept his cool and replied to the crowd with a big but embarrassing smile and claps.

Al-Hilal's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic bled the first blood for the league stage leaders in the 64th minute, followed by Aleksandar Mitrovic's double strikes. The Serbian striker first hit the nets in the 89th minute, and then in the 90+2nd minute.

Brazil star Neymar missed the match against Ronaldo's team, but it didn't matter as Al-Hilal continued its winning streak.

At the ongoing edition of the Saudi Pro League season 2023-24, Al Hilal is at the top with 41 points, followed by Al Nassr and Al Ahli Saudi with 34 and 30 points respectively. The Portuguese footballer joined the Al-Nassr in the winter transfer window in 2022, amid much pomp and fanfare.
