Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest: Lions Beat The Reds For Seventh Time In A Row
Ahead of the Champions League quarter-final slated for Wednesday at Paris Saint-Germain, Aston Villa registered another thumping victory over Nottingham Forest by 2-1. Thanks to Morgan Rogers and Donyell Malen's early goals, Lions managed their seventh consecutive victory.
The win has also put Villa into the race for Champions League football next season.
Before this win, Aston Villa defeated Cardiff (2-0), Club Brugge (3-1), and Brentford (1-0). In next three games, Lions winning margin was 3-0 against Club Brugge, Preston and Brighton.
And now, they emerged victorious by 2-1 against the Reds.

Top-five teams in the Premier League points table automatically qualify for the European competition.
Aston Villa skipper Unai Emery told media that "team enjoys competing in the Champions League and the FA Cup, but the Premier League is the most important because it is through the league that we can reach our objective for the next season."
The losing side, Nottingham Forest has also been displaying excellent football show as they are currently placed at number 3 position, however, their cushion over Villa is now reduced to 6 points.
Nuno Espirito Santo's side has to play 7 more matches and has plenty of work to do, if they want to make an elite entry to European football tournament for the first time since they were holders in 1980.
Villa captain Emery, who is leaving no stone unturned in preparation ahead of Paris trip, made eight changes in Saturday's game compared to last Wednesday's side that had marked an impressive 3-0 win at Brighton.
The fresh legs encashed the opportunity as they hit the nets twice in first 15 minutes provide a crucial lead.
"Normally we always start really well and the big lesson was that we can't start a game as bad as we did in this one," said Nottingham Forest captain Nuno.
