Who Is Vaibhav Suryavanshi? Youngest Cricketer In IPL To Score A Century During Rajasthan vs Gujarat Match
Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old cricketer, registered his name in IPL's record books as he scored a century of only 35 balls. He became the youngest player to achieve this milestone in the history of IPL 2025.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed 7 fours and 11 sixes to bag this record during match against Gujarat Titans (GT) at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi broke 15-year-old Yusuf Pathan's record for the fastest IPL hundred by an Indian. Overall, the record of fastest century in IPL belongs to former West Indies batter Chris Gayle, who had brought up his triple figure mark in 30 balls for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Pune Warriors in April 2013.

Demonstrating remarkable skill, Suryavanshi first bagged the record for half-century by a youngest cricketer surpassing Hassan Eisakhil, who at 15 years and 360 days had set the benchmark in the Shpageeza League 2022.
This achievement not only highlights Suryavanshi's potential but also sets a new standard for young talents in cricket.
The young protege didn't stop at breaking just one record. In the IPL, he outshined Riyan Parag's 2019 achievement by being the youngest to score a fifty in the league's history. Parag had set his record at 17 years and 175 days, which was a milestone that had surpassed Sanju Samson's 2013 record. Suryavanshi's fearless approach to the game was evident from the onset of his innings, as he quickly amassed runs to reach his fifty off just 17 balls. His boundary off Washington Sundar in the fifth over's last delivery marked the fastest fifty of IPL 2025, showcasing his exceptional batting prowess.
With his powerful inning, Vaibhav Suryavanshi laid a strong foundation for Rajasthan's victory.
