Man Breaches Security With 'Pro-Palestine' Message During Ind Vs Aus Match: Who Is He?
The man, who breached the security and entered the field during India versus Australia World Cup final match on Sunday, has revealed his name as Wayne John.
"My name is John...I am from Australia. I entered (the field) to meet Virat Kohli. I support Palestine..." ANI quoted him as saying after the cops held him.

The incident happened before the first drinks break. The security personnel apprehended the man, who was identified as an Australian of Chinese-Filipino origin. He was arrested and taken to Chand Kheda Police Station.

Displaying political slogans is prohibited at cricket games, and it remains uncertain what actions will be taken against Johnson, given his status as a foreign national. He wore a face mask featuring the design of a Palestine flag and a T-shirt displaying slogans on both sides.
On the front of the T-shirt, the message "stop bombing Palestine" was written, and on the back, it stated "Save Palestine." His unexpected intrusion took everyone by surprise, but security promptly apprehended him.
The ICC strictly prohibits political sloganeering during its events, and such acts are also not allowed in India. It's worth noting that Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas have been in conflict since October 7, triggered by an attack on a music festival in Kibbutz Re'im by the latter.
Meanwhile, India has set a target of 240 on board. Virat Kohli (54 from 63 balls) and KL Rahul (66 from 107 balls) are the highest run scorers for the Indian team.
