The rousing homecoming of Virat Kohli-starrer Team India was marked by a warm reception from their ardent supporters and cricket enthusiasts on Thursday, following their three-day ordeal in the Caribbean due to Hurricane Beryl.
Today, Rohit Sharma's Team India finally arrived home as Air India's special charter flight, Air India Champions 24 World Cup (AIC24WC), touched down in the national capital early morning.

Despite the inclement weather in Delhi, hundreds of Team India supporters gathered outside the airport, waving national flags and holding up special placards to welcome the World Cup heroes, as reported by Hindustan Times. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted the Team India squad at his residence in Delhi, engaging in memorable conversations with superstars Kohli, Rohit, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant.

A special message for PM Narendra Modi was shared by former India skipper Virat Kohli on Instagram expressing gratitude for the invitation to the Prime Minister's residence. Kohli, who played a match-winning innings of 76 runs in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa, joined Rohit and other members of the World Cup-winning team in wearing Indian jerseys emblazoned with "Champions" during the meeting with PM Modi.
The same gratitude was expressed by Suryakumar on Instagram (Social media platform), where he wrote, " Honoured to have met our esteemed Prime Minister, as World Champions. Sir, your words of appreciation, motivation and pride gave us inspiration to continue to do better, to keep our flag soaring high."
Prime Minister Modi posed for a photograph with Rohit Sharma's Team India before engaging in a heartfelt conversation with the players. Reflecting on the meeting, PM Modi remarked, "An excellent meeting with our Champions! Hosted the World Cup winning team at 7, LKM and had a memorable conversation on their experiences through the tournament."

Following their meeting with the Indian Prime Minister in Delhi, Team India proceeded to Mumbai for an open bus roadshow, scheduled to be followed by a felicitation ceremony at Wankhede Stadium in the evening, as per media reports. BCCI secretary Shah had earlier invited fans to join the victory parade in Mumbai, urging them to gather at Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium from 5:00 pm onwards on July 4th to celebrate the historic World Cup win with the team.
