Hours ahead of IPL 2024's crucial eliminator match between Rajasthan Royal and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Bengaluru team management decided to cancel their only practice session at the Gujarat College ground in Ahmedabad. According to media reports, Gujarat Police has received information stating security threat to Virat Kohli.
The report comes two days after the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested four suspected terrorists belonging to ISIS from the Ahmedabad International Airport.

It was learned from the media reports that these suspects had a plan to be present at the Ahmedabad airport on the same day three IPL teams arrived in the city for the IPL 2024 playoffs and to allegedly attack ace cricketer.
Soon after RCB team management received the news, they decided to cancel their practice session.

Senior police official, Vijay Singha Jwala, told the media that "RCB did not want to take a risk. They informed us that there would be no practice session. Rajasthan Royals were also informed about the development, but they had no problems going ahead with their practice."
"Virat Kohli learned about the arrests after arriving in Ahmedabad. He is a national treasure, and his security is our utmost priority," he added.
