Virat Kohli Honoured By Delhi & District Cricket Association For Playing 100 Tests
Former Indian captain and celebrated cricketer, Virat Kohli was honoured by the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) on Friday for reaching the milestone of 100 Test matches. He achieved this feat in March 2022 and has since played 23 more Tests. The felicitation took place as Kohli participated in his first Ranji Trophy match in Delhi since November 2012.
"This was pending for a long time. As he was here, we thought to honour him," stated a DDCA official. The brief ceremony occurred after the second day's play concluded. DDCA president Rohan Jaitely presented Kohli with a memento and shawl during the event.

Recognition for Delhi's Cricket Icons
Ishant Sharma and Virender Sehwag are two other distinguished cricketers from Delhi who have also played 100 Test matches. Their achievements highlight the city's contribution to Indian cricket at the highest level. Kohli's return to domestic cricket provided an opportunity for this recognition.
Last year, following India's victory in the T20 World Cup, DDCA had given a cheque of Rs 75 lakh to a member of Kohli's family. This gesture was part of their ongoing support and appreciation for his contributions to Indian cricket.
Kohli's Performance in Ranji Trophy
During the morning session of his Ranji Trophy match, Kohli was dismissed after scoring six runs. Despite this early exit, his presence in domestic cricket continues to inspire young players and fans alike.
