Virat Kohli Creates History, Hits His 50th ODI Hundred
Star Indian batter Virat Kohli slammed his 50th ODI century, thereby becoming the first cricketer to hit 50 centuries in this format on Wednesday.
Kohli completed the landmark during India's semi-final clash against New Zealand at Wankehede Stadium in Mumbai in the ongoing World Cup.

He took 279 innings to score his 50th ODI century. Kohli reached the landmark when he worked Kiwis pacer Lockie Ferguson to square leg for a double, moving from 98 to 100.
Kohli, a man with an impeccable sense of occasion, achieved the milestone at the Wankhede Stadium with the legendary Tendulkar himself in attendance.
The whole heft of the achievement was magnified by the fact that November 15 also was the last time Tendulkar batted in an international match for India, a Test against the West Indies at this venue.
Kohli's big innings at the crucial knock-out match has put India in a great position as the Men in Blue eye for 400+ runs.
Meanwhile, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has congratulated Virat Kohli on achieving the great feat. On X, formerly Twitter, he said, "The first time I met you in the Indian dressing room, you were pranked by other teammates into touching my feet. I couldn't stop laughing that day. But soon, you touched my heart with your passion and skill. I am so happy that that young boy has grown into a 'Virat' player.
I couldn't be happier that an Indian broke my record. And to do it on the biggest stage - in the World Cup Semi-final - and at my home ground is the icing on the cake."
