Virat Kohli, former Indian skipper and ace batter, on Monday completed 16 years with Indian Premier League franchise team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He has been with RCB since the inaugural 2008 edition. To celebrate the feat, RCB shared a heartfelt message for the former captain on the micro-blogging site X. The RCB had signed 19-year-old Virat Kohli when he was leading India's U-19 World Cup Team. Since then, Virat Kohli has been associated with the Bangalore franchise and today completed 16 years with the team.

The 36-year-old has appeared in 237 IPL matches to notch over 7263 runs with an average of 37.25, with best score of 113. The Bangalore side acquired a right-hander batsman for a whopping Rs 15.00 Cr deal and keeps on renewing the contract. However, other franchises also offered Virat Kohli to be their part, but the Delhi boy kept his loyalty high towards the Bangalore team.
Though the team missed out on winning the titles, Virat Kohli shattered several individual records during his IPL career including scoring runs in the history of the cash-rich league.
