It is to note that Team India got stuck in Barbados, where they contested against South Africa and clinched their T20 World Cup victory in a thrilling match. Alongside their families and the Indian media, who had been on assignment to cover the match, they faced the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, a powerful Category 5 storm.

Following the weakening of Hurricane Beryl in Barbados and improved conditions, a special Air India flight was dispatched by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on July 3 to evacuate those stranded. This morning, July 4, the flight arrived in Delhi, where they were warmly received at a five-star hotel in Chanakyapuri.

At the ITC Maurya, Team India was treated to a special T20 trophy cake adorned in the colors of the Indian cricket jersey, crafted from chocolate as a replica of the T20 trophy. The cake-cutting ceremony was led by Captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid, joined by other players including Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya.

A celebratory breakfast, featuring the team's favorite dishes such as chole bhature, was served by the hotel. Subsequently, the team proceeded to Mumbai for a victory parade, which will be led by Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli along Marine Drive.
